Photo Contest | Request for Images

I have received three requests for Pacific Northwest (and Hawaii) ocean photos: one for a juried exhibit at Gallery North in Edmonds, the second for images to use in a book and related magazine articles, the third a contest for photos on, in, or near any of Canada’s three oceans.

Image Request

Spokane author Anna Marlis Burgard is working on a book about islands that will be featured in National Geographic Traveler, and American Airlines magazineCelebrated Living. Anna is looking for underwater and bioluminescence images for the following islands: Washington: Vashon, Bainbridge, Orcas, Lummi, Whidbey, and Burrows; Alaska: Baranof and Spruce; Hawaii: Oahu, Molokai, and Maui. The deadline to submit photos is September 7, 2013, and she is looking at a $50-$100 honorarium for images used in the project. In addition to bioluminescent critters, she is interested in marine animals that represent these islands. If you are interested, please contact Dan Clementsabout how to submit images.

Contest

Mary Beth Johnson worked her magic, and Gallery North in Edmonds is having a juried above and below water exhibit. There is a $15 per image application fee, and prizes include $300 for best of show, and $100 each for best above and below water images.   Gallery North 508 Main Street Edmonds, WA  98020 425.774.0946
